Taxis offer several fare types to suit your travel needs. Most shuttles and buses around the Zona Hotelera and Downtown cover shopping malls, restaurants, beaches and plazas. Rental cars are available if you plan to visit Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres and Cozumel.

Playa Tortugas
Frequented by locals and tourists alike, Playa Tortugas is known for its pristine waters and clean sands. It is located along the Hotel Zone and features a pier where you can bungee jump. Widely considered for its calming atmosphere, the area also features open-air restaurants and vivid rock formations.
Isla Mujeres
Located eight miles off the coast of Cancun, the island of Isla Mujeres is a peaceful paradise, where you can unwind and bask in the slow island pace. For the adventure seekers, enjoy magnificent views by zip-lining over the Caribbean Sea, and scuba dive to an underwater sculpture garden at MUSA.
Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza is one of the most famous archeological sites in Mexico today. Selected as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the ancient Mayan city boats the El Castillo, with stairs leading up to the pyramid’s peak. At night, the complex features a modern light show.
